PSYCHE
-artistic installation-

The concept of the proposed work is based on the idea of liberation of the human being, personifying the inner energy and its soul. The choice of this theme is motivated by the recall of tragic episodes in the history of mankind, which evokes the suffering of prisoners in concentration camps. They, especially the children, drew butterflies with nails or stones on the walls around them. This act represented the foreshadowing of imminent death and an unconscious expression of the desire for their souls to become butterflies. Based on this fact, it is mentioned that, for many years after the Holocaust, thousands of butterflies were frequently seen descending on earth to Auschwitz and other death camps. The artistic installation becomes a tribute to human suffering, in which the butterflies function as a metaphor for fragility and temporality, it is the embodiment of the desire to fly.
